Negra is no longer with us. She got hit by a car. I was not home when this happend. I went to a friends house to help her in her spanish work and when I came home my dad told me that they had found her on the side of the road dead. I don't know what to say. The only thing I know is that I don't have regrets for keeping her in the house and helping her out and I knew she lived a happy life with us. She no longer had to steal food or find food it was given to her. She will always be in my heart. There is only one thing I regret and it is opening the door for her to leave the house..... Sad

Don't regret anything... You did a great thing by helping her! I bet the time she spent with you in your house was the best time of her life.

I really appreciate this. I know that she is in a better place. I have a feeling though that she will be coming back to us sooner or later.

Don't feel regret, if you'd not taken Negra in, she may never have experienced the love she shared with you. She passed away knowing she was loved....... I was actually thinking of Negra the other day when I was outside with Storm, and his leg reminded me....

I was planing on raising money and fixing her leg but that will never be know. At least I tried my best.

Oh, poor Sowilu...you have been a good mommy for Negra. Don't be sad. That sweet kitty had a good few months thanks to you and your family!

Maybe there is another little kitty who will be coming your way...not to replace Negra, but to receive from you all that you have to offer!

Thank you all so much. My brother and I have a feeling that we will probably find another cat who is in need. Everytime we find a cat that is in trouble and after it passes away another one comes our way that needs our help. I sure do miss Negra, I sometimes get Kiddles's name mixt up with Negra's and everytime I see something black laying on the floor I just think its Negra... Crying or Very sad

Wow I'm so sorry, she was a young cat too. This is why I could never let my cats go outside, I'd be too paraniod they'd be hit by a car or attacked by another animal. My parents cat also got hit by a car. Sad

Our big cat got a taste of the doors one day and now he begs to go outside. We have two kids under 4 and a dog so when we are coming in and out of the door, it can be hectic. So sometimes the cats sneaks out and we don't even see him.

My girlfriend's cat snuck out like that last week. She did get hit by a car. My friend brought her to the vet and they said she had a broken jaw. They wired her jaw and she needed to be fed by a syringe. My girlfriend and her husband were caring for her like a baby for almost a week and then she died on Sunday. My girlfriend was crushed! She says if they get another cat, they will be alot more careful about the door! Crying or Very sad

That is terrible. Cats are very good about sneaking out. I hope your girlfriend feels better.

She won't be getting another cat for a long time I think. Her kitty was about 8 years old (older than her children!) But she is feeling a little better. Thanks

i'm really sorry..as i know how its like. I lost a sweet cat years ago this way.
And recently my neighbours cat, who for the record was simply extraordinary, both in beauty and in sweetness, was hit by a truck. But not fully, it got his tailside. So he had the strengh to come and he came in my garden, not in my neighbours. We called them and called a veterinary and he was in recovery for 2 days but then died.
The death of that cat was so sad for my whole family, even if it wasnt our own.
