Awwh I'd love to share! Thank for asking!
These four were found at Grand River here in Ohio where they had been abandoned. I don't always jump to the assumption that all the strays I get are dumped, but these guys definetely were. They were in a rocky river area with no shelter and a plastic container full of food. The adult is not their mom, she has been dubbed Chloe for now. The little 'uns are dubbed Mocha, Latte, and Java. LOL, nothing like themed litters! They were between 7-8 weeks when my DH found them, and they are now working on about 11-12ish weeks old. All girls! Poor little Mocha (the brown tabby) developed ringworm abut a week after her rescue, so we've been working on clearing that up. Most of these pics are a little older, before we noticed the ringworm, so that's why you see Mocha in them..
Java is the solid dark grey, Latte is the light tabby gray, she is the most outgoing and lovable of them all! She wants to be absolutely everywhere with you.
First few days...
More recent...
(wresting with my Kailey)
LOL, "I can fit"
Latte on the stairs with 4 of my 6 babes

And last but not least Miss Chloe
I haven't taken any more recent pics of her yet, she was still in the garage when I took these. She is in the house now that her Felv/FIV tests came back all neg along with all the babies. She is incredebly sweet and loving.
The babies we covered with fleas when my DH brought them home, they were crawling over their eyes and everything But everyone is good happy and healthy now, flealess, wormed starter vaccinations. And very soon to be spayed.
Thanks for asking!! I've got some precious pics on my camera now that I need to download, I'll post them when I get a chance. _________________

Hoorray for foster families! I truly comment you fostermom for taking them in. They look very spoiled.
My 4 foster kittens are just over 2 months old now and due to go back tomorrow to the HS. But I'm sure we'll end up taking on some more kittens again since the shelters seems pretty packed. _________________ ~Laura & 4 bratty Cats ~

Thank you And hats off to you too! It's so hard to take them back isn't it?
They are incredibly spoiled:) But I don't really think there is another way to keep a cat is there? I mean we (humans) were put here on earth to serve them, sooo, what else can we do
The dogs are gated off in the kitchen/dining room area, my dobe is just fasinated with the little ones, so she can be a little too rough with them, and my aussie has such chasing/herding insticts, he is too prone to chase. So these little kids have full run of the house _________________

They've learned to cope My little calico is so young yet, she only took a day to warm up to them, my orange boy just likes everyone. The only two that are standoff-ish are my older calico, Keli, and my older seal point you see in the one picture, Bandit.
Those were the two first kids and had the home to themselves for years on end. So they are pretty grumpy with any newbies that come in. But they generally just hiss and whine, and sulk away. The babies are growing on them now though. Everyonce in a while you catch a baby snuggling with one of them. As soon as they know you caught them though, they growl and sulk off:D
I spend a lot of time just working on adjustment time with any new ones that come in, to keep the stress to a minimum as much as I can for everyone. The patience pays off in the end with 10 cats being able to interact amd socialize freely with very little grumbling. _________________

Which one do you like? The light grey or dark grey? Obviously the light grey dominates the pics! She is just a little hoot, into everything and goes everywhere. She's so photogenic. The dark grey is coming out of her shell. She would hiss and spit if you tried to hold her when she first came, yikes then after her felv test, she really mistrusted people. Now she will come on our laps and sleep in bed with us.
I've got all but the brown tabby spoken for. They should be getting spayed within a month, so they will be on their way soon. _________________

I'd be inclined to say, if she did have a breed in there somewhere, it would be tonkinese. Just her body type and build, and color too. _________________

Ha! Got that right! My entire day consists of feeding, picking litterboxes, scratching ears, picking litterboxes, giving scritches, picking more litterboxes, cuddling with kitties etc... _________________

Rescue.mom do you run the rescue by yourself or do you help the local shelter too? _________________

When I don't have foster kids of my own I typically foster for the Human Society http://www.geaugahumane.org/index.html
Lately though, I have had so many of my own I haven't fostered for them in a long time. The cats I take in, are totally my responsibility, the HS doesn't have anything to do with them. Financially I can't afford to take too many, right now I am at my limit with four needing spayed. I won't walk away from a cat in distress, but unfortunetely I do have to turn people away when I am at capacity.
I don't often take owner surrenders, although I get many many requests to. (sometimes I just want to kick people) I've only taken a few owner surrenders if they are in any kind of danger or their heath is declining. The last one I took, had been suffering a UTI for THREE MONTHS. She was in a lot of pain and discomfort. The owners had taken her to the vet after a month and a half of showing signs of the UTI, and then proceeded to give her ONE pill. It was "too hard" to give her the pills, so they didn't give her anymore. And she suffered for another month and a half. By the time I got her, she was visably urinating blood. _________________

I hate it when people get cats yet they don't have the budget to take care of them. I want to foster for my local animal shelter but I don't have the budget for it. _________________

The bad thing was, these people did have the budget, they didn't take care of her b/c it was too "hard".
If you want to foster talk to your HS, they will typically cover the food costs for you, and they cover all the medical costs, so there aren't any additional costs there . They always offer me food, I don't have them cover it for me just as an extra contribution to them, lol plus I want the babies on good food, not purina or meow mix or something!! But it would be a great thing, then the only thing you are covering is litter. And that isn't a huge expense at all.
Just think about it and check with them if you interested _________________

I was fostering Negra and I loved it. The only problem I would have would be Kiddles, she doesn't like other cats. I was surprised when Negra showed up as a stray and she took a liking to her. I was thinking of fostering litters of kittens or kittens but we don't have space for another litter box. I had told my mom I could foster a kitten and I was going to contact the HS. I think I will be doing that next week after Thanksgiving break. _________________
