Simon has been making an effort to escape every time we come into the apartment lately. We live on the 5th floor of an apartment building so there's not much worry of him escaping out onto the street! But there are some dogs that live on our floor so we try to keep him from getting out.

We thought because of all of his attempted escapes he may be wishing to spend some time outside.

As I think I've mentioned before Simon really loves going outside. We decided to take him out last night in the cart (on top of a blanket so he was quite comfortable) and wheel him around the block. Towards the end of the trip we even let him explore the sidewalk a bit (on a leash of course.)

Simon is unusually calm and serene in situations like this for a cat. Most cats would be a bit freaked out by all of the people and cars but Simon is very calm and just enjoys looking around and seeing what he can see.
