I got an interesting message and picture in the email inbox. I'm not sure of the answer myself so I thought I would post the message and picture here and see what kind of comments you guys can leave!

This message & photo is from Mike in New York

"I have a soft spot for cats and take care of more of them than I should. A month ago I spotted a kitten on my deck. It seemed a little odd that here would be a kitten out in the middle of winter. (It gets to below zero around here!) I couldn't get near it, so I got out my handy "have a heart" trap and had it in two days. I still can't get near enough to it to grab it. It has been living in a closet since March 1st! It sneaks out to eat and use the litter box. When we get up in the morning all of the cat toys are scattered all around the room. It just started coming out during the day. Hopefully it's adjusting. I really want to get it to the vet.

I have always had Siamese for my personal cats. This kitten did not look any stray. The hair that it leaves on the rug is like down. I was wondering if it could be a "Rag Doll". If not do you have any ideas?"

My cat, Grace, is a rescue cat, so I'm not sure of her heritage, but I've been told she's a ragdoll. There are pictures at flickr . She looks just like the kitten pictured.
