Here's a short "documentary" video of how Simon chose Pheonix as the winner. I'm not sure if this is how we'll do it next time or not. Hopefully next time we'll have a lot more entries and I'll use a random number generator or something like that to choose the winner. The point is that the selection of the winner is completely random so anyone who submits their cat picture has a chance to win. We play no favorites here and we aren't just giving away the prize to a friend! (things I can imagine being suspicious about if I was you) - It's important to me that the winner be completely random so everyone who submits has a chance to win! (Although I'm also considering having a vote from members of the cat forum in the future, maybe when we have more members in the forum... btw - JOIN TODAY!)



If the video's a bit much (and sorry for the cracks in the sound and everything, my computer is giving me trouble with video capture lately) Here's how we got the winner of the prize in a litle written step by step synopsis:

1. Wrote each of the 9 cats names on a small piece of paper and crumpled it into a ball. (at this point I have no idea which cat's name is on which piece of paper)

2. "Flavored" each ball of a paper with tuna (Simon the cat's favorite!)

3. Tossed the balls of paper on the floor

4. The winner is the one that Simon went up to sniff first!
